Iverclear 20 – Ivermectin 20mg Tablets
Description:
Iverclear 20 – Ivermectin 20mg Tablets is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent derived from avermectins. It is effective against various intestinal and tissue parasites and is widely used in parasitic infestations in humans.
Uses:
- Strongyloidiasis (intestinal roundworm infection)
- Onchocerciasis (river blindness)
- Scabies (including crusted scabies)
- Pediculosis (head lice)
- Other parasitic infections as prescribed by a physician
Mechanism of Action:
Ivermectin binds selectively to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in nerve and muscle cells of parasites. This causes:
- Increased chloride ion permeability
- Paralysis and death of the parasite
Human nerve cells are not affected because these channels are absent and the drug does not readily cross the blood–brain barrier.
