Trustmox 500 Amoxicillin 500 mg Tablets is a broad-spectrum, beta-lactam penicillin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death.

Uses:

• Respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)
• Ear, nose, and throat infections (otitis media, tonsillitis)
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Dental infections
• Helicobacter pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy)

Mechanism of Action:

Amoxicillin inhibits penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) involved in bacterial cell wall synthesis. This results in:

• Weakening of the bacterial cell wall
• Cell lysis and death (bactericidal action)
