Before using Lenalid Capsule, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.

Temoside 250mg Capsule consists of the active substance Temozolomide. It is prescribed to treat adults with brain cancer. It is the standard drug used in combination with radiotherapy to treat patients with glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma are the most common and aggressive brain cancers with low chances of survival. Anaplastic astrocytoma is treated with Temoside 250mg Capsule or radiotherapy after biopsy, whereas Glioblastoma multiforme is treated with a combination of radiotherapy and Temoside 250mg Capsule and then Temoside 250mg Capsule is continued as maintenance therapy.

Uses of Temoside 250mg Capsule:

• Concomitant and maintenance treatment along with radiotherapy for treatment of newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme.
• Treatment of refractory anaplastic astrocytoma in patients who experienced disease progression after being treated with nitrosurea and procarbazine.

How Temoside 250mg Capsule Works:

Temoside 250mg Capsule works by following a process called alkylation. After administration, Temoside 250mg Capsule gets converted into its active form called metabolite 5-(3-methyltriazen-1-yl) imidazole-4-carboxamide (MTIC). This metabolite reacts with water to form methyl diazonium ions. The methyl group from methyl diazonium ions transfer into the DNA and breaks the DNA strands that results in cell cycle arrest and cell death.

 How to use Temoside 250mg Capsule:

Use as directed by your physician. Your physician will prescribe an adequate dose according to your height and weight. Swallow the Capsule whole with a glass of water, on an empty stomach. Do not crush or chew the Capsule and avoid contact of the Capsule with your skin.

Safety Advice:

Pregnancy:

Temoside 250mg Capsule is harmful to the fetus. Inform your physician before taking Temoside 250mg Capsule if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.

Breastfeeding: 

Temoside 250mg Capsule passes through breast milk. Consult your physician for advice before breastfeeding.

Liver: 

Inform your physician before taking Temoside 250mg Capsule if you have liver problems.

Kidney:

Inform your physician before taking Temoside 250mg Capsule if you have kidney problems.

Driving:

Avoid driving or doing things that require concentration if you experience any side effects.

Allergies:

Inform your physician right away if you have allergic reactions to Temoside 250mg Capsule or its ingredients

Others:

• Consult your physician if you have blood clotting problems, low levels of RBC, WBC or platelets. Make sure that your physician monitors your WBC and platelet counts regularly.
• Inform your physician if you have a history of Hepatitis B infection.
• Temoside 250mg Capsule can cause birth defects. Exercise effective birth control measures during treatment with Temoside 250mg Capsule.

• Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Oseltamivir is used to treat symptoms caused by the flu virus (influenza). It helps make the symptoms (such as stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, fever/chills, aches, tiredness) less severe and shortens the recovery time by 1-2 days.This medication may also be used to prevent the flu if you have been exposed to someone who already has the flu (such as a sick household member) or if there is a flu outbreak in the community. Take this medication by mouth with or without food. You may take it with food or milk to minimize stomach upset. Take this medication as soon as flu symptoms appear or as soon as possible after you have been exposed to the flu. Oseltamivir works best if you start taking it within 2 days of either of these events.

If you have the flu, take oseltamivir as directed by your doctor, usually twice a day for 5 days.

To prevent the flu, take oseltamivir as directed by your doctor, usually once a day for at least 10 days. Follow your doctor's instructions for how long to take this medicine.The dosage is based on your medical condition, kidney function, and response to treatment. In children the dosage is also based on weight.

If you cannot swallow the capsules, ask your doctor or pharmacist about the liquid suspension form of oseltamivir. If the liquid is not available and if directed by your doctor or pharmacist, you may open up the capsule and mix the contents with a small amount of sweetened liquid (such as regular/sugar-free chocolate syrup, corn syrup, caramel topping, or light brown sugar dissolved in water). Stir the mixture and take the entire dose.

This medication works best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Take this drug at evenly spaced intervals at the same time(s) every day. Continue to take it for the full time prescribed. Stopping the medication too early may allow the virus to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection or failure to protect you from the flu.

Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse or if new symptoms appear.
